Music Research Strategies (MRS) founded by Marshall Trammell is a performing-political education platform that asks: What forms of invisible and visible cultural destruction impact interdisciplinary approaches to culture, identity politics, the preservation of memory and result in new configurations of power?
MRS has instigated a number of performing-political education, critical engagement modules: Black Fighting Formations, Warrior Ethos, Warrior Ecologies, In Defense of Memory, Solo Vernacular: Living On Native Land/Black Bomber, Harm Free Zones. MRS is affiliated with the Solidarity Research Center, the Intercultural Leadership Institute, and the Charlotte Street Foundation Studio Residency.
