"Hi, my name is Tyler. I’m an artist from the Bay Area currently living in Los Angeles. Recently, I was diagnosed with colitis, and the symptoms and treatment have very suddenly changed my life. The diagnosis itself was overwhelming, but the reality of the pain, uncertainty, and stress that have come with it has been even more difficult to manage and process. I’m still learning what this condition means for my body and my future, and navigating doctor visits, tests, and daily symptoms has been emotionally and physically exhausting.

Right now, my symptoms are severe enough that I’m unable to work. Colitis affects my energy, mobility, and ability to function day-to-day, making it impossible to keep up with a regular work schedule. Over the next couple of months, I need to focus on stabilizing my health, learning how to manage flare-ups, adjusting my diet, and creating a treatment plan that works for me. Taking this time is necessary so I can heal properly and hopefully return to work in a sustainable and meaningful way.

The funds raised will help cover essential living and medical expenses while I’m unable to work. This includes rent, utilities, groceries, and medical costs such as doctor visits, medications, and related treatments.
